Description
Cable Crochet Cowl Pattern | Triangle Crochet Cowl Pattern
The Mercer Cowl is what happens when modern texture meets timeless design. It’s a triangle-style crochet cowl—sometimes called a cowboy cowl—with that effortless drape and just the right amount of structure. Worked from the bottom up, the triangle section builds into a cozy base before transitioning to the cowl portion, which is worked in the round.
The standout feature? The cables. They frame the triangle’s edges and continue around the collar, creating a balanced, sculptural finish that looks far more complex than it is. You’ll wrap up the project by seaming the cable section together for a clean, polished edge.
Designed in a light worsted yarn for a soft, layered feel, the Mercer Cowl pattern is written in ten sizes from toddler to 3X, so you can make one for every cozy moment of the season.
Mercer Mountain trail can be found in Corner Canyon Regional park in Draper, UT. It’s a quick 1.6 mile in and out scenic walking and hiking trail.
Growing up in Utah we had parks and trails everywhere! Having moved away from my hometown, what I miss the most are the view of the Wasatch Mountains that ran along the east side of the Salt Lake Valley. Located at the south end of the valley is Draper, and Corner Canyon Regional Park. It’s a must see to any visiting the Salt Lake Valley.

This cowl is one of my favorite accessories that I have ever made. The pattern is easy to follow with clear instructions and a cable chart to help guide you as you are making this. The best part is that it works up super fast. I can’t wait to make another one.
